Ali Lenehan, an imaginative artist born and raised in Connecticut, knew at an early age that she had a passion for art. She remembers being inspired by the vibrant colors of the stained-glass windows she would see at her church as a small child. She began honing her craft during her high school years and then graduated from Paier College of Art in 1998 with a Bachelor of Fine Art. She has been devoted to finding her voice through art ever since. From just a glance at her work, you can see that she finds art therapeutic and a way of revealing her emotions. Ali's inspiration comes from the free-flowing female spirit and the feelings that cannot be expressed with words. Her captivating female portraits show Ali's passion for painting. She paints in acrylic, oil, and watercolor, but her most recent works are done in charcoal and acrylic. Ali has an expressive intuitive process. She starts with a rough charcoal drawing and then lets her intuition guide her through the painting process.
